Entering the winter season, Northeast Asia has seen a gradual increase in LPG demand, mainly for petrochemical use, leading to a rise in the December CP.<\/p>\n
Additionally, the tightening of LPG supply from the Middle East, caused by Saudi Aramco limiting the acceptance of spot cargoes,<\/p>\n
and the higher demand for butane for petrochemical purposes due to rising naphtha prices have also contributed to the upward pressure on CP prices.<\/p>\n
While Dubai crude oil prices have been on an upward trend since November, the average WTI in November fell by approximately USD 0.8 per barrel compared to October.<\/p>\n
Looking ahead, we anticipate that with further drops in temperature, residential LPG demand in Northeast Asia will increase, and we therefore forecast a rise in the January 2026 CP.<\/p>\n
