The Saudi Aramco CP for June 2026 was settled higher compared to the previous month.<\/p>\n
Regarding the current market environment, the Strait of Hormuz remains effectively closed due to ongoing tensions between the United States and Iran, and LPG exports from the Middle East continue to be limited mainly to cargoes loaded from Yanbu on the Red Sea coast.
\nSupply-demand conditions remain tight, particularly in India and Southeast Asia, where dependence on Middle Eastern LPG remains high, with butane markets especially tight.<\/p>\n
In addition, Asian buyers have increasingly shifted procurement toward U.S. LPG, resulting in a sharp increase in exports from the United States to Asia.
\nFreight costs have also risen significantly due to congestion at the Panama Canal and the increasing use of the Cape of Good Hope route.
\nFurthermore, supply constraints in the naphtha market have supported additional demand for butane as an alternative feedstock, contributing to further upward pressure on butane prices.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, there have been some developments toward ceasefire negotiations and discussions regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, which temporarily softened market prices at times. However, the overall situation remains highly uncertain.
\nAs a result, concerns over supply stability and rising logistics costs ultimately led to an increase in the June 2026 CP.<\/p>\n
Looking ahead, although U.S. inventories remain at a high level, the market is expected to remain unstable, <\/u><\/p>\n
and LPG prices may continue to fluctuate significantly depending on developments in the Middle East and the situation surrounding the Strait of Hormuz.<\/u><\/p>\n
